Day 1 Arrival in Casablanca

Assistance and pick you up at the airport to the hotel. A visit to Hassan Mosque is possible, based on time of arrival.

Day 2 Casa Blanca – Fes

First, we drive to see one of the most important edifices in Africa, Hassan II mosque. Then we head to the capital of Morocco, Rabat. Explore Hassan tower, the mausoleum of Mohamed V and Andalousian garden. We continue our journey to Meknes, former heart of the Moroccan sultanate. Found by the sultan Moulay Ismail “1627 – 1727 “his efforts were focused on his capital at Meknes. In the afternoon we drive South to visit the ancient site of Volubilis, the roman province of Mauritania Tinjitana. Then we end our day in the oldest capital, Fes.

Day 3 Fes

After breakfast we meet our local guide to explore Fes, This tour offers a complet visit to the essential Fes, dating from the ninth centuray , Fes has been a gateway to the sahara and a major stop on the caravan route. Like other old cities, Fes is divided into a new city and old medina, Fes Elbali. The walk will take you through the narrow alleys where you can see the beautiful buildings including the sanctuary of Moulay Idriss II, Alandalus mosque and the Karaouiyn which is considered as the oldest university in the world. Lunch this time will be at an authentic restaurant in the old medina where you can taste Fessian specialty such as Pastilla. After, you will continue exploring the charm of the city and its preserved architecture and historic mosques.

Day 4 Fes- Middle Atlas -Erfoud 

This day we drive south and climb gradually into the dramatic landscapes of the middle atlas. First to Ifran for a short pause, a small city been called Switzerland of Morocco. We continue to the great cedar forest passing near the small village of Azrou “rock in Berber”. Once our drive continues, the landscapes change. We cross the pass of  Tizi N’Talghomt to reach the valley of Ziz, one of the main river that support life in the desert. Traversing the plateau of Ain Alati to arrive at a small city of Erfoud. night in hotel.

Day 5 Erfoud -Rissani -Merzouga

After breakfast we start with a geological visit of the famous foundation working on different fossils mined from the area. We follow the Ziz valley to Errissani, the cradle of the current dynasty founded by Moulay Ali Cherif in 1632. We will have an opportunity to visit the Mausoleum of the founder and some fortified village in the surrounding. After lunch we set off to the village of Merzouga situated on the edge of Erg Chebbi, an area of huge sand dunes. The rest of the journey is left to relax or take a stroll to explore the surrounding of the extraordinary desert environment. the night in desert camp with dinner and breakfast

Day 6 Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Dades valley

Today we leave the Sahara behind and head for mountains again. We drive the plateau between the high atlas and Anti Atlas, a volcanic mountain range to reach the city of Tinghir. We have some time to streatch our legs and walk along the lush palms grove nearby the river before reaching the giant gorges of Todgha. After lunch we drive for one hour to reach our final destination for today, Dades Valley called also fig valley. Night in hotel with dinner and breakfast

Day 7: Dades / Ait Ben Haddou / Marrakech

After breakfast we set off westwards along the valley of 1000 Kasbahs to stop in Kalaa Mggouna, well known for roses harvested in early May, from which they extract rosewater to be sold throughout the world. We continue on to Ouarzazat which is located at the gateway to the southern Sahara. A trading post before the protectorate turned it as a garrison town in 1928 to control the Draa valley. After a short pause we carry on to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, classified by UNISCO as a world heritage site for its old Berber architecture. It is also an ideal location for filming scenes from Laurence of Arabia to Game of Thrones. In the afternoon, we drive to the highest pass I n north Africa “Tizi N Tichka“ to continue a scenic drive to the red city of Marrakech .

Day 8 Marrakech( historical tour)

In the morning we will be led by a local guide to discover Marrakech and its monuments. Our  guide will stop you at the archeological site of the Koutoubia mosque for a comprehensive introduction to the history of Marrakech.  We will go through the historical ‘Bab Agnaou’ to visit the Saadien Necropolis of the 16th Century. We will invite you to enter the 19th Century Bahia Palace and discover the intricate work done by local artisans on wood, plaster and tiles. Visit the main square of Jemaa El Fna to watch snake charmer, story tellers and innumerable stalls, each specializing in certain type of food from Kebab with salad, snails and steamed sheep head. 

Day 9  day trip to Essaouira and the Atlantic coast

We start our day from Marrakech to the Atlantic Coast, crossing the Argan tree forest where you will visit a women cooperative making the famous Moroccan oil from the argan fruits. You will enter the city through one of its historical gates to explore the traditional and colorful streets. You will climb up to the Portuguese rampart and see some of local art galleries.  The city is the cheapest place for shopping and fresh seafood. After an orientation walk you will have enough time to explore on your own before we meet our driver at  5:00 pm to set off back to Marrakech.

Day 10  Free day in Marrakech

Today is left free to explore the red city at your leisure. You may prefer to take enough time strolling in the old Medina or sitting at one of the local café surround the main square. Most of the rooftop cafes have restaurant, they offer both a la cart and set menus. As we recommend a traditional Hammam or cooking class with a local family.

Day 11: Tour ends in Casablanca

After breakfast and  depends on your schedule of your flights, you may spend some additional time in the city before your flight.
